About 4-H
The 4-H motto is to make the best better. How are you going to make your best better? If you want to make a difference in life while having fun, 4-H is the thing for you. Not only will you be a better person for it, but you will also gain life skills such as leadership skills, communication skills, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
One of the biggest things in 4-H is making goals for yourself. To make the best better is to pass the goals that you have set for yourself. 4-H helps you do this in a fun and positive way. It also can help you learn to put others before yourself through volunteering. This has become a huge thing when you are apply for scholarships, jobs, and colleges. It may seem like these things are far away, but starting early can show people that you are dedicated to helping others and don't always think about yourself.
In 4-H you can show at your local county fair for livestock, dog, pets, indoor projects, clothing, etc. You can also show at the state fair if you are qualified. At the end of May Equine Fever has weekly workouts with horses. At these workouts you can learn more about horses and showing. We also have drill team practice at the end of each workout. The opportunities in 4-H are endless, so I highly encourage you to join Equine Fever. If you are interested you may contact one of our leaders. Scroll down for their email's and phone numbers.
